Tea-lovers will find the new LOV Organics line offered in z
charming shop on the ever-busy rue Montorgueil market street in
central Paris irresistible. LOV Organics (LOV means leaf in Swedish)
is all about care for the environment, healthfulness, wellness, and
of course, about making delicious teas part of daily life. LOV is
the first shop to stake out an all-organic territory and in doing so
should be instrumental in increasing the availability of quality
organic teas. This is good news for tea-lovers in Paris. LOV
Organics is owned by the venerable Kusmi Teas company, well-known
for their hearty and historic Russian blends and full range of pure
and flavored teas. Kusmi is broadening their classic brand with this
line of organic teas presented with a new look and aimed at a young,
hip clientele. The friendly shop manager told me that LOV is
cultivating a new generation
of tea lovers who are attracted to the
shop design, commitment to the environment and to the healthful
organic concept.
The inviting shop in Paris has a clean
Scandinavian feel in the environmentally friendly design of the
boutique and the colorful tea boxes, tins, teapots and cups. LOV
offers a broad selection of pure loose-leaf teas, herbal teas such
as menthe along with intriguing flavored blends such as
ginger-lemon green tea, orange-cinnamon, strawberry or cherry
infused black teas. Most teas are sourced from China and Ceylan. Of
course, there are Earl Grey teas and other classics. And, there are
‘wellness’ mélanges formulated for anti-stress and
detoxifying.
The organic concept carries forward into the packaging materials.
The tea is presented in recyclable boxes or in metal canisters made
of recyclable steel. There is no plastic and the eye-catchingly
colorful containers are sturdy and re-useable. Tea bags are made
from pure cotton with no chemicals used in processing. Teas are sold
in 100 and 200 gram containers in addition to the tea bags.
There is always a pot of tea ready for tasting and the
knowledgeable manager speaks excellent English. Check out this shop
and its selection of teas when you are in Paris. These are teas
prime for drinking and detoxing and lovely for for gifts.
